The Politecnico di Torino di Torino, founded in 1906 and specialized in engineering, architecture, design and spatial planning, has always stood out for its strong emphasis on research and innovation.
In line with this vocation, it has chosen IREM for a pilot project funded by the PNRR and called “Nodes, Spoke 4: Digital and Sustainable Mountain”.
IREM contributed, for the energy component provided by the hydroelectric source, with a Pelton turbine-generator group model TPA024 with a nominal electric power of 3 kW and a parallel grid and automation panel.

The IREM Pelton turbines are recognizable by their typical hexajet distributor which, in addition to ensuring excellent efficiency values with varying flow rates, allows for compact dimensions and very flexible water flow regulation.
Regulation is carried out manually or by using IREM electric actuators, which make it possible to avoid hydraulic drives, completely eliminating the presence of lubricating oils at the plant.
The IREM Pelton turbine-generator groups, together with the QPR IREM parallel and automation panels, represent highly reliable and durable industrial solutions.
All IREM turbines are designed and manufactured in compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, ensuring safety, efficiency, and high-level performance.
