Compactness is one of the important advantages of IREM Ecowatt Hydro Pelton Turbines.
Here is a TPA 123-460 series Pelton turbine designed to work with water flow of 239 l / s and a head of 103 m. The hydroelectric group is equipped with a vertical axis generator with a maximum power of 250 kW.
Thanks to the use of the new electric actuators AEC302, exclusively manufacture by IREM, it has been possible to keep the distributor extremely reduced in size: diameter 185 cm.

The IREM ECOWATT HYDRO Pelton turbines are recognizable by their typical 6-jet distributor which, besides ensuring excellent performance upon variation of the flow rate, allows reduced dimensions and a very flexible water flow regulation thanks to the 6 jets.
The flow rate is adjusted by using IREM electric actuators which allow to avoid hydraulic drives, completely eliminating the presence of lubricating oils in the plant. This aspect clears the risks of water pollution, a very important aspect both for aqueduct installations and for conventional water-flowing hydroelectric plants.
The IREM ECOWATT HYDRO Pelton turbines are reliable and durable industrial products. Designed to be easily installed and maintained.
They are manufactured in compliance with the Machinery Directive 2006/42 / EC.
