ASC-3040 hot restrike igniter is the result of IREM’s continuous research and experimentation in the power supply of gas discharge lamps. Compact design and simple installation characterize IREM’s new electronic igniter which can be easily integrated in high performance and small size Xenon lighting systems. This hot restrike igniter meets the requirements of the most common short arc Xenon lamps (e.g. XBO, Cermax®, UXL, SQP, etc.) in the power range up to 500W.
ASC-3040 has been designed to meet the specific requirements of the industrial and scientific field making it suitable to a wide range of high performance applications like e.g. video projection, microscopy, solar simulation, UV curing, searchlights, a.s.o.
Main advantages:

  • Compact size
  • Light weight
  • DC power supply
  • Easy installation
  • Automatic trigger
  • One model for Xenon lamps up to 500W

Xenon Lamps: what are they and what are they used for?

Xenon lamps are special gas discharge lamps that operate on direct current (DC). Inside them, an electric arc passes through two electrodes inside a bulb filled with high-pressure Xenon gas. This process produces an intense and bright light, available immediately upon ignition, similar to natural sunlight.
