ALAC has chosen IREM as a partner for the development of Micro Hydro projects, utilizing potable water from the existing aqueduct network prior to its distribution to users in the Langhe and Roero territories.
A concrete example of this collaboration is the installation of three turbine-generator units at the sites of Lequio Berria, Mombarcaro, and Murazzano.
For this project, IREM supplied three Pelton turbine-generator units, certified for aqueduct installation, with an electrical power range between 34 kW and 180 kW.
IREM Ecowatt Hydro hydropower turbines, specifically designed for aqueduct installations, comply with European Directive 98/83/EC governing the quality of water intended for human consumption.
All machines produced by IREM are accompanied by a Declaration of Conformity to the Ministerial Decree of April 6, 2004, no. 174, which regulates the materials and objects that may be used in fixed systems for the collection, treatment, transmission, and distribution of water intended for human consumption.
The aqueduct installations of IREM’s turbine-generator units ensure ergonomic products, free from lubricating oils, and straightforward operation, resulting in minimal installation and maintenance activities.
