IREM is engaged in the field of lighting large sporting events with the innovative solutions of the POWER LIGHTING line.

ADI igniters are specifically designed to ignite single and double ended metal halide lamps, as well as high pressure sodium lamps. With the European Football Championship season in full swing in Germany, our igniters are the ideal solution to ensure perfect and reliable lighting.

Metal halide lamps with quartz technology are the best choice for lighting large areas and specific applications such as sports lighting, airports, ports, tunnels, where the quality of light is fundamental. However, these lamps require long re-ignition times, up to 15 minutes in some phases. For this reason IREM offers instant restrike igniters and hot restrike igniters, including the ADI-1540 and ADI-1560 models.

ADI igniters: excellent technical characteristics

ADI symmetrical igniters comply with the specifications of the main lamp manufacturers and offer excellent and long-lasting performance:

  • Symmetrical design: connection downstream of the ballast for reduction and simplification of installation.
  • Electronic control: advanced electronic management for stable and long-lasting lighting.
  • Wide operating temperature range: guaranteed operation from -30°C to +70°C.
  • Compact and robust design: perfect for indoor and outdoor environments, thanks to the IP65 protection rating.

Furthermore, the ADI-1540 and ADI-1560 models, based on switching technology, are ideal for switching on double-ended metal halide lamps and high-pressure sodium lamps in the power range from 150W to 2000W. Designed to be connected via three wires for 1000W to 2000W lamps or four wires for 150W to 400W lamps:

  • Stabilized electronic circuit: guarantees reliable and constant operation.
  • High voltage pulse generator: composed of high voltage capacitors and spark gap.
  • Built-in control system (TSCs): constantly monitors power, lamp status and how long it stays on.

Xenon Lamps: what are they and what are they used for?

Xenon lamps are special gas discharge lamps that operate on direct current (DC). Inside them, an electric arc passes through two electrodes inside a bulb filled with high-pressure Xenon gas. This process produces an intense and bright light, available immediately upon ignition, similar to natural sunlight.
