'TBA' asynchronous Banki Turbines / Micro hydroelectric power plants - Hydro
'TBA' asynchronous Banki Turbines Asynchronous Banki Turbines for parallel operation AISI 316/I stainless steel Banki wheel is formed by blades which are directly welded on the side plates. The shaft is fixed to the wheel by means of two conic section pliers. The shaft revolves on watertight ball bearings external to the turbine case. A revolution multiplier fitted with cogged driving belt transmits the motion to the generator. The turbine case consists of a welded assembly in sheet steel. The baffle for the water flow regulation is mounted inside the case. The regulation is performed automatically through an electric servomotor complete with limit switches. The feeding group connects the penstock to the turbine case. The throttle valve and the connection for the pressure gauge are mounted on the feeding group. The throttle valve may be operated manually or through a pneumatic or electric actuator. The generator is fitted with an asynchronous motor, duly sized. The bearings are largely sized to easily withstand the axial load of the wheel. They require no greasing (they are fitted with shields avoiding the grease to pour out). |
